SCENARIO 01

Build your plant

Explore capacity, dispatch, and resilience over up to 90 days.

One block · 10 MW reference demand · 5 MW BESS / 0.5 h energy sizing. Engine trip at noon; ten-minute block outage at 16:00 demonstrates the battery's partial-load power limit.

6 × 36 engines; two rows of 18. Test assumptions: 95 MW per transformer, 420 MW base load, BESS off.

Fuel & gas price

Enter your delivered tariff, including transport if applicable. Costs update immediately without rerunning dispatch.

Gas billing & pipeline details 0.90 is an illustrative assumption. We convert engine LHV consumption to billed HHV internally. Pipeline HHV alone does not determine this ratio. Volume uses the same standard conditions as your Btu/scf specification.

Enter pipeline heating value only if you want a gas-volume estimate.

Study horizonContinuous engine, storage and service state. Studies over 14 days retain overview snapshots plus outage/service boundaries. Oil deliveries remain continuously replayable.
Routine service ages Later engines start progressively younger, down to zero. Routine service is due at 1,000 running hours. Automatic service is opt-in and lasts 10 hours. Deferred service checks current engine output; it does not start replacement units or count utility/BESS. Immediate service may interrupt load.

Run to calculate service ages.

Dispatch
Facility demand

Datacenter: Pacific-relative clock, blended regional use. Base MW is a reference level; overnight demand stays above zero.

Lubricant supply

Applies to the fleet by default. Override individual engines in Inspect equipment. Turning consumption off explicitly means zero makeup use.

1 L/h is the current full-load planning basis. This first model applies your chosen rate while running, including cooldown. Confirm a part-load curve with the OEM. Oil changes are separate.
Maximum fill 90%, unusable heel 5%. Orders allow supplier lead time plus reserve. Reserve assumes 1 L/h for each oil-consuming engine.
Choose one or two trucks total. Assumed net payload: 6,000 US gal per semi, 3,000 per bobtail. A load can be split across tanks.

Five minutes per connection and 10 km/h site driving are assumed. Supply shortages are reported separately from electrical uptime until sump margin and shutdown behavior are defined.

Battery storage

Flywheel storage

Illustrative sizing and controls. Starts at 80% energy. Torus publishes a six-minute discharge; module ratings and site integration remain to be confirmed. Torus Spin reference ↗

Utility backup

Synthetic load & outages.
Battery efficiencies and dispatch are assumed.

Model assumptions

Engine fuel points are sourced. Operating dynamics and this site's configuration are illustrative.

Scene geometry

Engine shells follow the 16.1 × 3.6576 m post-Alpha MW7 enclosure. The connected datacenter uses an approximate 300 × 93 m four-section footprint, informed by NCC’s 28,000 m² Luleå reference and project photos. Length, height, site spacing and storage geometry are illustrative. Removing sections changes the visual footprint; it does not establish a real facility’s power capacity.
